PZI's founding plantation partnership is in Sri Lanka with Kelani Valley Plantations — a Hayleys Group company, and one of the world's most credentialed sustainable plantation operators. An Australian plantation programme is in development, alongside a pursuit of reforestation on disused mine land.
Your membership funds real plantations registering under the Verra VCS standard — one of the most rigorous independent carbon standards in the world. We never claim more than is true, and as each verification milestone is reached, we record it openly.
Because it would not be honest — and honesty is the only thing that matters here. In 2025, EnergyAustralia apologised to customers over misleading "carbon neutral" claims, and the ACCC has made greenwashing a compliance priority. PZI will never claim carbon neutral, and will never overclaim. What we say — accurately — is that your membership helps offset the majority of your vehicle's annual carbon footprint through real, measured plantation action. That is what we can stand behind. That is what we say.
Verra VCS VM0047 certification is one of the world's most rigorous verification processes, and it takes time — because genuine verification requires it. Your membership funds the plantation work from the day you join, and as the plantation progresses through verification, your certificate records each milestone. You are part of it from the beginning.
Most carbon offset products are transactions — you pay, you get a certificate, nothing physical exists. PZI is a membership backed by a real, named plantation, managed to international Verra VCS VM0047 v1.1 standards, with every tonne of carbon removed permanently registered on the public Verra international registry in your name.
You receive a physical badge handcrafted from sustainably sourced natural materials. You receive a Letter of Authenticity. You receive a member dashboard. And your offset grows every year the plantation matures — it does not expire, it compounds.
Yes. PZI memberships are annual with no automatic renewal without your explicit consent. You will receive a renewal reminder before any charge is made. If you choose not to renew, your plantation offset for the year you paid for remains permanently registered in your name. The carbon removed during your membership period is yours — it cannot be taken back, reassigned, or cancelled.
If your vehicle is used to earn income, a PZI membership may be deductible as a vehicle operating expense. We are not tax advisers — please speak with your accountant about your circumstances.
