Carbon Credits
We are building our own plantations — real, growing ground that will, in time, carry the weight of every membership. Until it does, we do not leave the gap to chance, and we do not fill it with the cheap, unrated credits that have given this industry its bad name.
Every tonne we offset during our growth stage are verified Australian carbon credits, drawn only from accredited projects — native reforestation on cleared Australian land, measured, under recognised carbon-accounting standards and confirmed by independent, government-recognised auditors. Legally protected. Genuinely Australian.
This is where we begin, not where we end. Our path runs through the Australian Carbon Credit Unit scheme — the national standard, governed by the Clean Energy Regulator — and toward the wider work of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water: the long, patient project of returning to this country some of what it has lost. We intend to be part of that. Not as a slogan, but as ground in the earth, counted honestly, held for generations.
We choose our credits the way we choose everything: by whether we could stand in front of you and defend it. If we can not verify it, we will not buy it — and we would not claim it. The world is loud with those who promise the sky, balanced to the last decimal. We would rather show you the ground, and let the growing speak.
